Salon Esprit sits at 225 Bedford Street in East Bridgewater, in the Carriage Crossing plaza. Bedford Street is Route 18 — the road that runs north and south through this whole corner of Plymouth County, from Bridgewater up through Whitman and Abington and on toward Weymouth. That one road is the reason our guest list stretches well past our own town line.
We are one salon, not a chain with a branch in every town. Everyone below drives to the same chairs and sees the same stylists. What changes town to town is simply the route in — so we have written a page for each one covering the drive, the parking, and the questions we actually get asked by people coming from that direction.
East Bridgewater was settled in 1649 and still gets called “The Bridge” by people who grew up here. We are on Route 18 near the center of town, a few minutes from the common, with a free plaza lot and a cinema next door. If East Bridgewater is home, you already know where we are — start here or head straight to our services.
Our closest neighbor, straight up Route 18. Whitman guests are often in and out inside a lunch break, and plenty of them found us because the salon is on the road they drive every day anyway. Route 14 also connects the two town centers if Route 18 is backed up. Roughly 6 minutes.
East of us, connected by Route 14 and Route 27. Hanson sits between us and the cranberry country toward Halifax and Pembroke, and it is an easy cross-town run rather than a highway trip. A lot of our Hanson clients book standing appointments six or eight weeks out. Roughly 10 minutes.
South on Route 18, which runs from the Bridgewater common rotary — where Routes 18, 28 and 104 all meet — directly to our door. Bridgewater brings us a steady mix of long-time regulars and Bridgewater State University students and staff, which makes late August and early September our busiest booking window from that direction. Roughly 10–12 minutes.
The furthest of our regular towns, out past Abington to the northeast. Rockland guests come west on Route 123 and pick up Route 18 south. Because it is a real drive, we encourage Rockland clients to stack services into one visit and to lean toward color that stretches further between appointments. Roughly 20–25 minutes.
Not sure which service you need? Start with our service menu or our new guest information, then book your appointment.
Beyond the towns above, we regularly see clients from Abington, West Bridgewater, Halifax, Brockton and Hanover. If you are coming from one of these and want to know the best way in or how long to allow, call us at 508.378.1530 — we will tell you honestly, including if we think the drive is longer than it is worth.
There is a reason we have not opened a second location. Consistency is the whole product in this business — the same stylist, the same formula on file, the same person who remembers that your color went brassy last summer and adjusts for it. That does not survive being spread across four storefronts.
So we stay put on Route 18 and make the drive worth it. Meet the people who would be doing your hair on our team page, or read what guests across the South Shore have said about us.
